Ben Azaria is a research and data management specialist with over 3 years’ experience in survey-related activities. His most recent work engagement is the 2022 Kenya Demographic and Health Survey (KDHS) in which he undertook the role of a research assistant at the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS). KNBS is the principal agency of the Government for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating statistical data in Kenya. Ben gained vital research experience while working in the KDHS project. KNBS conducts the Kenya Demographic and Health Survey every five years, and it helps in the planning of health care services and programs at the national and county level. Ben has also worked as field interviewer under the Measles Rubella Post Vaccination Campaign Coverage Survey (PCCS) conducted by MOH and KNBS partnership.

Ben loves travelling and exploring new places. He has a BSc in Mathematics and Economics attained in 2019 from Maseno University. Ben’s core values include professionalism, integrity, responsibility, accountability, teamwork, and mutual respect for colleagues. His main goal in the world of work is to utilize his expertise in helping organizations and corporations achieve their mission and vision. Ben understands the role of research in guiding the development of various policies.
