Wendy has over 5 years’ experience working with the government and international NGOs in monitoring, evaluation research and use of evidence to influence policy and programs. Her experience spans various sectors in interventions and evaluations on programs in SRHR, GBV, maternal, neonatal, and child health; adolescent health; nutrition; education and WASH. Her strengths lie in Monitoring Evaluation and Learning systems (MEAL), Indicator development, Target setting, Conducting data quality audits, analytics, and reporting. She has technical skills in developing study design (such as randomized control trials, mixed methods, questionnaire design, quantitative and qualitative data collection, Coordinating baseline surveys, mid-term and end term evaluations, electronic data capture tool, data quality assurance, data management, quantitative and qualitative data analysis reporting, dissemination of findings, outcome harvesting to enrich project success stories,  highlighting and documenting best practices for various projects in Kenya, Malawi, South Sudan, and Somalia. Wendy uses her skills to bring out the importance of data in informing development programs targeted to end GBV on vulnerable women, youths and children, among other social issues.

This motivation has seen her be part of a  study publication on Young People’s Experiences with an Empowerment-Based Behavior Change Intervention to Prevent Sexual Violence in Nairobi Informal Settlements, Global Health Science and Practice journal. She has a background in Statistics and programming from Kenyatta University and a certified Monitoring and evaluation specialist in Global Health from the University of Washington.
